An Owsley County man was arrested last week by Kentucky State Police on charges related to distributing child pornography.
Troopers told LEX18 the afternoon of Thursday, June 18, 2015, they arrested 21 year old Matthew R. Hollan in Booneville as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Investigators say the KSP electronic crime branch started the investigation after they discovered the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The images allegedly portrayed young children engaged in sexual acts.

Troopers said they seized equipment that was used in the crimes, which was then taken to a forensic laboratory for examination.
Hollan was charged with six counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. If convicted, each count could be punishable by one to five years in prison.
Hollan was lodged in the Three Forks Regional Jail.
