One man is dead after a suspicious residential fire in Clay County.
On Monday, July 13, state police were notified of a residential structure fire with a fatality on KY HWY 577 in the Sextons Creek Community.
KSP Arson Investigator Detective Brian Lewis along with Detective Nick Metcalf arrived on the scene and discovered the victim Lawrence Sizemore, 68, of Sextons Creek deceased inside the residence.

The cause of the fire and death has not been determined at this time, however foul play is suspected. An autopsy has been scheduled for today in Frankfort.
