The family of Crystal Morrison, the Concord woman who vanished three years ago, is offering a $25,000 cash reward for information about her exact location.
The offer is good for 30 days beginning Sunday, three years to the day after Morrison left the Concord office where she worked just after noon. She was last seen walking near International Drive and Highway 73.
“Our days have turned into years now and life seems to move on no matter what, but our family remains stuck on one very important day leaving us to linger in the ‘what happened and where is our family member,’ the missing woman’s father, Rick Morrison, said in a press release.
The family will hold a private mass at their local church as they hope their efforts will produce some resolve for investigators.
“I need my sister back. My family needs that one person who knows something to step forward and do the right thing and give us our loved one back,” said Mechelle Carey, Morrison’s sister.
Since the disappearance, family members and others have conducted numerous searches and public awareness events.
The reward is being offered in collaboration with the CUE Center for Missing Persons.
“It is important for families of the missing to continue the public awareness of their missing loved one, but often it can take a toll and exhaust those who are left to find answers”, said CUE founder Monica Caison. “We hope this renewed effort will provide a closure of this case. It has been too long.”
On the morning of her disappearance, Morrison made a phone call asking for a ride, saying she was ill. She appeared to leave the workplace to wait for a ride home.
“Something happened, and I was overwhelmed with the feeling something was really wrong, right from the start,” Carey said. “My sister would have never left with no word to anyone, especially her young son.”
Morrison is described as about 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 100 pounds. She has blonde and red hair, blue eyes, wears contacts and has piercings in her ears. She has her son’s name, “Kyson,” tattooed on the back of her neck and a “design swirl” tattooed on her lower back.
Tipsters can remain anonymous and should contact the Concord Police Department at 704-920- 5000 or the CUE Center for Missing Persons at 910-343-1131 or the 24-hour line at 910-232-1687.
