A 19-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter charges in the death of a 19-year-old mother.
Earlier this month, deputies say James Ratliff was riding an ATV with 19-year-old Mattie Conley in Greenup County.
Investigators say Ratliff’s 17-year-old girlfriend got mad and started chasing after the pair with her car. Conley apparently jumped off the ATV in fear. Her body was later found next to the side of Kentucky 7-84.

Earlier this week, Ratliff entered a not guilty plea to the charges of manslaughter.
The Commonwealth’s Attorney says new evidence shows the way Ratliff’s defense team says the death happened is impossible.
Ratliff’s girlfriend has also been charged in the case as a juvenile, but could be charged as an adult.
