Missing Person Tiffanee Trecek of Omaha, NE

Police continue to search for 33-year-old Tiffanee Trecek, who might have been abducted.

Investigators said Wednesday Trecek may have changed her hair color to purple prior to the incident just after midnight Tuesday when a home invasion and robbery were reported at an apartment southwest of 84th and Q streets. A caller reported that a man was outside the building holding a gun and left in a black SUV. Three victims were located and reported a home invasion.

Detectives determined that Trecek may have been abducted during the incident. Officers later interviewed someone at North 11th and Grace streets hoping for information. Police don’t believe Trecek is in immediate danger, but do want to locate her. Anyone with information about her possible whereabouts is asked to call police at 402-444-5692 or Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.

A suspect identified as Terry Stafford was taken into police custody and booked for robbery, possession of a gun by a prohibited person and use of a gun to commit a felony.

The names of Terry Stafford and Tiffanee Trecek surfaced last month in an incident in Sarpy County. According to court records, on August 16th, Bellevue police came in contact with a Chevy Impala that matched the description of a vehicle that had been involved in a hit-and-run accident during which the suspect displayed a gun. The driver was ordered to pull over, but sped away.

The officer lost sight of the Impala that was later found in a driveway. The license plate number indicated the car was stolen from South Dakota.

The car had a large amount of cash on the center console alongside a baggie containing a white powder. There was also a Social Security card in the name of Terry Stafford and a motel receipt in the name of Tiffanee Trecek in the vehicle that was towed to the Bellevue police garage as investigators sought a search warrant for the property.
