A man wanted in Kentucky for a Scott County crash that killed a 13-year old Bourbon County girl has been extradited to Kentucky.
A grand jury said 32-year-old Mohamed Abdullah, who lives in Baltimore, is at fault for the crash. He was indicted last month and taken into custody in Boston.

According to court documents, Mohamed Abdullah “wantonly drove his automobile into the automobile in which Emily M. Sams was a passenger, thereby causing her death.” Witnesses said his Camry dropped off the left shoulder, over corrected, then struck the Sams’ truck. Emily Sams was on her way to a volleyball tournament with her parents. Sams’ parents were both injured.
Abdullah is charged with second degree manslaughter, and two counts of second degree assault. If found guilty of the three felonies, he could face five to 10 years in prison for each charge.
He has been lodged in the Scott Co. Detention Center.
