A Detroit man is in jail in Lexington after police say he tried to cash counterfeit checks at Walmart.
According to his arrest citation, 41-year-old Rondell Williams tried to use a fake check to make a large purchase at the Walmart near Hamburg.

The store notified police who quickly arrived and located Williams with 34 counterfeit checks.
He’s scheduled to be arraigned later today.
