It’s been eight years since a man was murdered in his Lexington apartment.
The man’s former fiancee is describing to LEX 18 what happened that night, hoping it leads to tips in the case.
Yolanda Johnson lived with Jermaine Howard at a complex on Lakeshore Drive. In August 2007, while Yolanda was showering, Jermaine was shot in their living room.

Police received several tips, but never one specific enough to crack the case. They believed someone was hiding in the house waiting. Yolanda says she believes it had to have been someone who knew Jermaine.
“I always thought it was someone who knew him. I always thought that because I didn’t think a random person would just pull up and do something like that,” Johnson told LEX 18.
