Wrongful Death Man Arrested For Involvement In Fatal Clay Co. Crash

One Clay County man is facing charges of multiple charges, including murder and fetal homicide, after his involvement in a crash that killed three women, a toddler and an unborn child.

Jason Gibson, 40 of Big Creek, is facing four murder charges, one fetal homicide charge, 1st degree, wanton endangerment 1st, degree operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless driving and possession of a controlled substance 1st degree.

The arrest citation says that police found methamphetamine on his person at the scene of the crash. Tests came back saying he had meth in his system during the crash, according to the arrest citation. Gibson told police he did not remember taking meth before the crash.

The arrest citation also says that Gibson had admitted to taking Xanex bars before the crash.

The crash killed Tiffany Williams, her 2-year-old son, Kyson, her grandmother, Judy Pennington Adams, and family friend, Charlene Lewis, as they were heading to Williams’ doctor appointment. Williams was eight months pregnant and her unborn child did not make it.
