The Anderson County Coroner has confirmed that one person was killed in a crash. It happened on KY 44 shortly after 9 Friday morning.
Transportation officials say there was just one car involved but that two people were inside the car. The road opened back up around 1 P.M.
The person killed in the crash has been identified as 21-year-old Justin Thurman of Lawrenceburg. Thurman was the driver of the vehicle. A passenger inside the vehicle, Kristian Baxter, age 21, is at the University of Kentucky Hospital recovering from his injuries.

“The area where the collision occurred is a very curvy very dangerous area also whenever you get water or any moisture on the road it increases the level danger of danger in those areas,” Trooper Kendra Wilson told LEX 18.
Police say that alcohol may have been a factor.
