Wrongful Death Investigation in Jackson County After Fatal Stabbing

A death investigation is underway in Jackson County. The Jackson County Coroner said 36-year old Bradley “BJ” Muncy  was stabbed to death on Bailey Road at around 3 p.m. on Thursday. Kentucky State Police said Muncy’s death is suspicious.

“She just kept asking me if I could give her a miracle and bring him back,” said Tiffany Woody, a friend of the victim.

As people left Bailey Road on Thursday night, they said they would do anything to bring back Muncy.

“He’s a really good friend of ours,” said Woody.

Friends said Muncy was killed during a fight with his wife’s boyfriend, outside of a friend’s mobile home.

“The husband ran in, and he was stabbed on one side of the neck and it come out the other. And the boyfriend took off running down the road here, which he was caught. Thank God,” said Woody.

KSP troopers and deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said they located one of the two men involved; and he is being questioned.

“I wish he would have thought about the kids really. I mean, they have kids together. He was a father of some beautiful children,” said Woody.

Friends said Muncy was a father of four, and a good man. Now they want justice.

“I hope he gets what’s done to him,” said Woody.

Kentucky State Police said the case is still under investigation.
