Lexington Police are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a home Sunday morning.
Officers were called to Pittman Creek Court shortly before 11 o’clock. According to the coroner, one unidentified black woman was found dead inside the home. A black male was taken to UK hospital with life-threatening injuries. At last check, he is in critical condition.
Both people appear to have at least one gunshot wound and were found by a relative.

It is not believed either of those shot are the homeowners, but officials believe one is related to the homeowner.
Police say they are investigating as a homicide, but not looking for shooter.
Their identities have not been released.
