A Laurel County constable was charged with second-degree manslaughter after allegedly shooting a Manchester man.
Bobby Joe Smith, 37, of London, is accused of fatally shooting Brandon Stanley at the A&B Quick Stop in East Bernstadt back in March, The Times-Tribune reports.
Smith was attempting to serve a warrant on Stanley when the shooting took place.

Detectives did an investigation that was presented before the grand jury. The presentation led to the grand jury indicting Smith to one count of second degree manslaughter.
