The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office has charged an 18-year-old Sycamore man with sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 and indecent exposure.
The man was in the Talladega County Jail on Monday evening with a $1,000 bond on the exposure charge. A bond in the sex abuse case had not been set.
According to Capt. Bill Kennedy, investigators first responded to the Sycamore area after receiving phone calls about a naked man standing in the middle of the road. He was arrested on the exposure charge first, before deputies became aware of the alleged sex abuse.

The Daily Home does not generally identify accused sex offenders until they have been indicted by a grand jury.
Sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 is a class B felony in Alabama, punishable upon conviction by two to 20 years in prison.
