A second murder arrest has been made in Harlan County after human remains were discovered in a wooded area.
The remains were located in a wooded area off of Mountain Oaks Subdivision, which is located near the Cawood community in Harlan County.
Police charged Michael Curtis, 27, of Cawood with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse. He was arrested Tuesday night.

On Wednesday night, police arrested Kayla Curtis, 30. Kayla has been charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse.
At this time the victim’s information cannot be released until the State Medical Examiner’s Office makes a positive identification of the remains.
Detectives from Post 10 have received enough information to believe this case is involving a missing person’s case from Harlan.
Both Michael and Kayla Curtis are in the Harlan County Detention Center.
