A Somerset man is dead after a single-car crash in Pulaski County Saturday morning. Around 9:30, deputies responded to Mark Welborn Road off Highway 39.
Deputies say the driver, 39-year-old Orville Privett, was thrown from the car. His passenger, 16-year-old Darren Privett, was able to free himself from the wreckage.

Darren was taken to a nearby medical center, but Orville was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates the two were not wearing seat belts and that speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.
