A 58-year-old Kearny man who formerly taught at a local high school has been sentenced to 112 years in prison on convictions in a child molestation case.
A Pinal County Superior Court judge sentenced Louis Elvira on Monday on his March convictions for crimes that included sexual conduct with a minor, child molestation, sexual exploitation.
The County Attorney’s Office says the 6-year-old victim was not a student at the school where Elvira taught.

According to the County Attorney’s Office, the investigation began after a friend found images of child pornography on Elvira’s laptop.
