Accident Reconstruction One Dead, 2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident

One child is dead and two others are injured after a multi-vehicle accident in Russell County Saturday night.

It happened around 7:45 p.m. on KY 379 near French Valley Road.

The Russell County Sheriff says the driver of a Honda Civic attempted to cross KY 379 from French Valley Road to Blair School Road when she pulled into the path of a Dodge truck.

26-year-old Jessica G. Warriner of Jamestown and her daughter, 3-year-old Chloe Fortenberry, occupied the Honda according to the sheriff’s office.

All three victims were transported to the hospital for their injuries. Fortenberry, who was airlifted to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, died from her injuries Sunday morning.

James Gray, the driver of the Dodge truck, was treated at the Russell County Hospital and released.

The accident remains under investigation.
