A death investigation is underway in Boyd County after police say two bodies were found inside a motel.
According to police, a man and a woman were found dead on the floor of the Ashland Inn after employees checked their room. The employees said they hadn’t heard from the guests in a few days.

The couple lived in the Ashland Inn. The coroner said they appeared to have been dead for 4-6 days. Their deaths do not appear to be suspicious.
No word on a cause of death, and their names have not been released.
Their bodies have been sent off for an autopsy.
