Missing Person Family of Missing Woman Begs Public For Help

A Lexington family is begging for the public’s help as they continue to search for their missing mother.

The woman, who is said to have dementia, was last seen on the evening of December 2nd when family members said she dropped her daughter off at home in Paris.

Kenny Johnson hasn’t seen or heard from his mother in a week and half.

“She either will be in contact with her family, husband, or children at all times. My mother does not take off for 2,3,4 days at a time and not contact anybody,” said Johnson.

On December 2nd, a Friday night, family members said Tina Johnson, 53, left her house in Lexington to drop her daughter off at home in Paris.

They said she mentioned visiting a friend in town afterward… but that’s about all they know.

“When she left out of her driveway Friday night and she went towards Paris… she met with somebody, she seen somebody. Somebody has to recollect where she is,” said Johnson.

Several days later – family members said they learned from police Johnson’s car was found with her purse inside parked at an apartment complex off Pinecrest Street in Paris.

But her son told LEX18 they knew the very next day that something was seriously wrong.

“Her grandson had a parade the next day… she would have never missed that. he was in the parade,” said Johnson.

Johnson’s son said his mother suffers from dementia and she hasn’t had her medicine since she’s been gone.

“Deep down we know that something is wrong, something is not right and somebody has to know where she is,” said Johnson.

The family has created a GoFundMe page to help with the cost of search efforts.

If you have any information about the case, you’re asked to call Kentucky State Police.
