A former Iowa resident has been given seven years in prison for stealing identities, filing false tax returns and lying to get housing aid.
Prosecutors say 38-year-old Kaeisha Robinson was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids. She lives in Phoenix and used to leave in the Iowa cities of Maquoketa and Dubuque.

Robinson admitted in a plea agreement that, from May 2011 to February 2013, she filed several fraudulent tax returns using other people’s identities and received more than $250,000 in refunds.
She also admitted that, from October 2011 through July 2013, she lied about her income on forms required for Section 8 housing assistance.
