Wrongful Death Man Arrested in Firefighter Death Facing Extradition to OH

The man accused of starting a deadly fire that killed a Hamilton, Ohio firefighter is awaiting word on extradition to face charges.

William Tucker spent the weekend in the Madison County Detention Center. Tucker is the second person arrested for the 2015 fire that killed Hamilton firefighter Patrick Wolterman. Wolterman died after falling through the floor of the house. He had gone upstairs thinking two people were trapped.

Tucker’s uncle, Lester Parker, was arrested last month and is facing charges of arson and murder.

According to court records, Tucker was living in a Richmond trailer park. The manager said he had only been there for about two weeks.

Police didn’t find Tucker at the park, but later arrested him at a nearby bar called the Blue Moon.

Neighbors near the scene of that 2015 fire say they didn’t know about the relatives’ connection to what happened.

Tucker will have an extradition hearing before being sent back to Ohio.
