Meridian Police Chief Chris Blanton says his department’s online child sex sting nabbed six more suspects this weekend.
Five men and one woman were arrested from Friday to Sunday night in the sex sting.
A sixth man was taken into custody on drug charges.
All six of the suspects traveled to Meridian in hopes of having sex with a 15- or 16-year-old girl, he said.

Ernest Javier Garcia, 21, of Stephenville; Jonathan Payton Fletcher, 30, of Waco; Wayne Alan Bryan, 48, of Waco; Dustin Ray Rogers, 25, of Stephenville, and Nicholas Dale Gordon, 23, of Walnut Springs were each charged with online solicitation of a minor.
Their bonds were set at $40,000 each.
Lela Renea Oneal, 27, of Hamilton, was also charged with online solicitation of a minor.
Information about her bond wasn’t available Monday.
Superman Jim Long, 29, who Blanton says drove Oneal to Meridian, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Chief Blanton says the suspects were using mainly Skout and Whisper Apps to meet up with whom they thought were underage teenage girls.
