The man facing attempted murder and arson charges after allegedly firing several gunshots at his wife and starting a house fire was in court Wednesday.
Richard Hord, 54, wanted the $250,000 cash bond lowered at his preliminary hearing, but the judge denied that request.

A family member of his soon-to-be ex-wife also was there and said she’s recovering from her injuries. Back on April 5, neighbors said they saw Hord and his ex-wife arguing before he fired shots.
She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Some neighbors said they were shocked to hear about the accusations because they viewed Hord as a nice man.
