Wrongful Death Woman Accused of Killing Two Wants Evidence Thrown Out

The woman accused of killing two men in a drunk driving crash wants some of the evidence against her thrown out.

Suzanne Whitlow, the woman charged with DUI and manslaughter in the deaths of off-duty Louisville Police Detective Jason Schweitzer and UK employee Timothy Moore, appeared in court with her attorney Friday.

Her attorney filed a motion asking that her blood alcohol results be thrown out. He says when deaths are involved in a DUI, officers are supposed to get a search warrant to collect blood evidence. He says this wasn’t done in this case.

Police say that Whitlock admitted she got behind the wheel last October after drinking alcohol. As the two men tried to cross the street, officers say Whitlock hit and killed them.

The suppression hearing is set for June.
