The passenger in the car, 63-year-old George Gooslin, of McCarr, was pronounced dead at the scene.

KSP says that evidence at the scene indicated Gooslin was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision.

The operator of the vehicle fled the scene on foot and could not be located, according to KSP.

The collision remains under investigation.
