Arson Investigation Fayette County KY

So far there have been no arrests in a string of arsons in four Kentucky counties.

Fire officials are asking for your help to solve these arson investigations.

In Fayette County, investigators are dealing with 12 unsolved arson cases.

In Jessamine County there are 7 arson investigations.

There are 6 unsolved arsons in Pulaski County, and 3 unsolved arsons in Lincoln County.

While only the arsons in Pulaski and Lincoln are considered connected, one thing that unites these four counties is the need to find those responsible.

“It’s important to us to catch the person that is doing that from. Community safety stand point and a property damage stand point. It’s a huge life safety issue when someone is setting fires on purpose,” says Captain Carrie Bowling, an investigator with the Lexington Fire Department.

Investigators say they do have some suspects.

“We have interviewed at least a dozen people in regards to our fires in Nicholasville,” says Officer Kevin Grimes, with the Nicholasville Police Department.

So far the information that has come in has not been enough to convict anyone, “We just have to keep plugging away and hoping that eventually you’ll turn that stone over that has the piece of evidence that you need,” adds Detective John Hutchinson, with the Pulaski Sheriff’s Office.

There are several rewards are being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the person and persons responsible. Some of the rewards are even as high as $20,000.
