WOODSTOCK — Two Brandenton, Fla., residents turned themselves in Wednesday on insurance fraud charges in Ulster County. Marcus Hammer, 38, and Amy Ilmoniemi, 38, are charged with making a fraudulent insurance claim more than two years ago after a fire at their Dutchess County residence, and getting $10,000 from an insurance adjuster in the Town of Woodstock.

Ulster County detectives assisted the state Insurance Fraud Department in the investigation. The state later prepared charges, and the county sheriff’s department got arrest warrants after learning the two moved to Florida. They were released on bail to reappear in town court at a later date
