SPARKS, NV – Sparks police are looking for a missing person who is possibly endangered.
Sparks resident August Prechel was seen in the lobby of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Reno Wednesday around 2 p.m. Prechel’s caregiver had responded to the hospital to pick him up but was unable to locate him.

Prechel is 80 yrs old, uses a wheelchair, and may be suffering from dementia. He is white, about 5’5″ and 220 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. He was wearing jeans and a grey jacket.
Police say there is no reason to suspect foul play, but due to Prechel’s age and medical condition, there is concern for his welfare. The Sparks Police Department would like to ask that anyone who may have knowledge of Prechel’s whereabout, call the dispatch center at 353-2231.
