Police say Wesley B. Bivins, 33, got into an argument with the victim in his home early Tuesday morning. Investigators say at some point, Bivins pulled a knife and two men outside stepped in to try to break up the fight. Police say Bivins stabbed the victim four times and also cut one of the men trying to break things up. Bivins ran from the scene.
The victim drove himself to the hospital for treatment. Officials called his injuries non-life threatening.
Police later caught up with Bivins at a home on Glass Avenue, arrested him and charged him with assault.
