Police in Lexington are investigating after the report of a shooting at a car wash Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. at Sami’s Car Wash on Old Todd’s Road near Richmond Road. Police say a man walked up and shot into a car with three people inside. Officers are not sure if anyone was shot because the car took off. The shooter also took off.

Police are using a helicopter to try to track down shooter and the car.
Car shot into is described as an older model Chevy Caprice with two flats tires in the rear, no license plate, light on top, and dark sides.
The shooter is described as young black male in his late teens-early 20s with dreadlocks wearing gray and white baseball cap, gray shorts, white t-shirt.
Police believe shooter knew the people in the car.
