Loretta Fergerson owned and operated a tax return preparation business called Fast Tax Cash in Montgomery, according to court documents.

She and her sister pleaded guilty to filing tax returns using stolen identities to claim fraudulent tax refunds from 2005 to 2008.

The two also admitted filing tax returns with false information to obtain higher refunds for their customers.

Loretta Fergerson also created counterfeit driver’s licenses and Social Security cards for customer’s files for the false returns, court records state.

Tracey Fergerson participated by gathering stolen personal information, cashing refund checks from returns that used stolen identities and recruited customers and coached them to provide false information, according to court documents.
