A grand jury indicted Pulaski County Coroner Richard New on more than two-dozen counts of theft.

Kentucky State Police presented evidence to the grand jury after an investigation. Police say the thefts, totaling about $60,000, occurred over a nine year period. Investigators say New took money from a business where he was previously employed.
