Missing Persons Bourbonais Man Still Missing

The search for missing Bourbonnais man, Richard Roberts, continues this week as local and Chicago police have been unable to find the 47-year-old since he left work early more than two weeks ago.

Roberts’ disappearance was first reported by The Daily Journal on Aug. 28, eight days after he left work early due to chest pains. The story was picked up by several Chicagoland media outlets Wednesday when Chicago police issued a missing person alert.

Roberts was last seen leaving work Aug. 20 in the 11700 block of South State Street on the South Side of Chicago. He was driving a purple 1993 Ford Ranger with Illinois license plate 29641Y, police said.

According to one published report, police said calls to Roberts’ cellphone were still going through recently, but no calls had been made by the phone.

His sister-in-law, Diana Roberts, told The Daily Journal that Roberts usually responds quickly to text messages and always takes calls.

Diana said Roberts suffers from pancreas and liver cancer. He has a tattoo on his left shoulder that reads “Louise” and has tribal tattoos on both forearms.

Anyone with information about Roberts’ possible whereabouts is being asked to contact the Chicago Police Department at 312-747-8274.
