A Long Island doctor who has been missing since Monday was found by a police search and rescue dog on Thursday.
Jerome Nadler, 76, from East Setauket, parked his car at the Caleb Smith State Park Preserve on Labor Day to go fly fishing. He never returned to his car and seemed to have disappeared, reports Newsday.
The Suffolk County police began searching for him on Monday. The authorities used, divers, off-road vehicles and a helicopter to search for Dr. Nadler, but were not successful.

On Thursday, a Suffolk County’s K-9 search and rescue dog began searching the area along the waterway in the park when he found Nadler in the thick brush.
The dog, who is trained to stay with a found person, stayed with Nadler, and would not return to the handler even though he was being called. The handler soon found the dog and Nadler in the brush.
