FORT WALTON BEACH – A traffic stop resulted in a Fort Walton Beach man being arrested on drug charges.
On Aug. 30 an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a white Buick on Green Acres Road because the tag light was burned out.
During the stop, another deputy arrived with his K-9 unit and conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle. The dog alerted to the presence of drugs.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found a clear plastic baggie containing what later proved to be marijuana.
One of the passengers was searched, 22-year-old Robert Alan McKuhen of Fort Walton Beach, and deputies found five more plastic baggies of marijuana hidden in the cleft of his buttocks.
McKuhen was charged with felony marijuana distribution and drug equipment possession. His court date is Oct. 2.
