The Whitley County EMA Director says that deputies have been searching for a missing man.
Joel Moses’ truck has been parked on the side of Highway 25 about six miles from the state line since Sunday.

Crews started searching for him at 1:30 p.m. Monday. They were using sonar in the nearby creek and dogs on the ground to try and find him.
Moses is 48. He is described as 5’9″, with blue eyes and brown hair.
The Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team had a happy ending in their search for a lost hiker along the Red River, in the Calaboose area of Wolfe County. The hiker went missing sometime Sunday evening.
According to the search and rescue Facebook page, team members used a locator link to track the man down. Officials say this is a very rugged area, but the hiker did have shelter.

The hiker called WCSART from his cell phone after becoming disoriented at an off trail arch in the southeastern portion of the Clifty Wilderness Area. The subject had camped at the arch overnight, but became disoriented when he attempted to navigate back to his vehicle.
Search and Rescue used the Your Location web app by Blue Toque Consulting. They were able to send the subject a brief text message containing a unique URL. Once he clicked that URL, they used GPS to locate him.
The team was able to locate the subject and return him to his vehicle by 9:15 pm. Sunday.
The family of a Vancouver teenager missing since last summer is pleading for help in the ongoing search for their loved one.
Danielle Hone left her Salmon Creek area home last August and hasn’t come home. She was only 14 at the time.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office believes she is with a 43-year-old sex offender and transient named William Joseph Anderson.

“I am really concerned about that. We just want her to come back and to be safe and secure,” said Danielle’s mom Goldie Hone.
According to the Facebook page “Find Danielle Hone,” the two were last seen in a gold Dodge pickup truck with Oregon lilcense plates: 070FBQ.
Danielle, who also goes by “Danny,” has been spotted several times near the area of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Division Street.
Goldie spent the day Saturday putting up flyers around the neighborhood. “I posted a lot. Hundreds, hundreds, I don’t know how many,” she said.
Danielle would have started high school this last year, and her mom said she has missed out on a lot.
Since she vanished, Danielle’s dog has died, and a close family member underwent heart surgery. Goldie said it’s been a very difficult time for the family.
“I have a lot of crying episodes. I just want the pain to go away,” she said.
Goldie wants Danielle to know she is loved, and missed terribly.

A young woman is missing out of Saratoga County, and police are asking the public for help in locating her.
Christine Lee was reported missing by her mother from her mother’s home in the Town of Wilton in the early morning of March 4.
Police said the 20-year-old was improperly dressed for the weather. They said she was only wearing pajama pants and no footwear. She was also without a cell phone.

Lee is described as a white female, 5’9”, and weighs 135 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She recently cut about one inch to two inches in length from her hair. An updated picture is not available.
“She’s a local girl,” Saratoga County Lt. Jeff Brown said. “She definitely has a lot of friends and certainly could be in the area locally, so we are getting the photo out and getting the name out there hoping that somebody calls and says, ‘Yeah, she’s at our house,’ and we can just check her welfare and that’s all.”
Police said she appeared to be under the influence of narcotics when she left her mother’s home and may be in need of medical assistance.
She is also known to frequent the Allen Drive area of Saratoga Springs.

A missing person alert has been issued for a Palomar College student with Down syndrome. Douglas “Dougy” Sampson, 49, was last seen at the Palomar College transit center Friday between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and was reported missing by his brother at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sampson uses the Sprinter, public transit buses or walking to commute. This is the third time he has been reported missing.

Sampson is a Pizza Hut employee and was last seen wearing black sweat pants, a teal “Pizza Hut” shirt, black shoes, a black “Pizza Hut” baseball hat, and possibly a yellow jacket. He is 5’4, weighs 212 pounds, and has blonde hair, blue eyes and wears glasses. He works at the San Marcos Pizza Hut located at 1915 San Marcos Blvd.

Lexington police say a man was taken to the hospital after being shot during a fight at a home Saturday afternoon. It happened around 1 p.m. at a house on the 2100 block of Shaker Run Road.
Police say the man who was shot is in his 50’s and his injuries are non-life threatening. Investigators say the woman who owns the home is being cooperative and has not been charged so far.
“I walked to the corner just to see what was going on because I saw all the cars back up. I figured something was going on down the street. When I looked, I saw all the yellow tape and I was like, ‘something must be going on,” said neighbor Paulette Livisay.

Police say they believe the two have children together but would not confirm if the children were home at the time of the shooting.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person.
According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, the family of Joseph Allen Downey, 38, of the Mt. Weisner community, reported Downey as missing. He was last seen Feb. 19, near his residence.

It’s been almost one week since Paris tattoo artist, Jamie Allen Campbell, vanished without a trace.
Kristy Campbell, Jamie’s wife, said he was seen last Saturday afternoon leaving a client’s home after his last job of the day, “he told me he would be back as soon as he finished the tattoo but he never come back.”
Something Elda Campbell, Jamie’s mother, said is very unlike him, “this isn’t Jamie, I mean it’s not him.”

His family said they’ve been looking for Campbell every single day since he disappeared.
“We’re looking in ditches in Lexington,” said Victoria Lee, Jamie’s niece. “We’re going to people’s houses where we think he might’ve been.”
“We’ve called hospitals, we called every jail around here,” Elda said. “I even called the coroner’s office.”
The family is getting help from the Paris Police Department but believe someone out there has to know something.
Campbell’s mother said her son doesn’t have a car so he couldn’t have gotten very far, “we just want to know, the not knowing is the worst,”
Jamie is 6’1 tall, about 180 lbs with short dark hair and facial hair. He has very distinct tattoos on both of his arms, legs and chest
His family said he was dropped off on High Street around 4 p.m. on Saturday.
“Call us and let us know that you’re ok Jamie,” Elda said. “That’s all we’re asking we just need to know that you’re ok.”
