Police in Louisville are looking for the person responsible for stabbing a man behind a restaurant in broad daylight.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon outside Ciao Restaurant on Payne Street. Police say 33-year-old Nicholas Morris was outside on his break when someone came up and stabbed him several times. Morris was rushed to U of L Hospital where he died during surgery.

Police still have no information on a possible suspect, but Morris’ mom thinks her son was targeted.

On Saturday, Ciao donated a portion of their proceeds to Morris’ family.

Kentucky State Police were searching for a man who they say is responsible for shooting two people in Owen County Friday night.

Troopers were called to a home on Old Columbus Road in Owen County just before 11:20 Friday night on a report of a man and women being shot. Preliminary investigation revealed that 23-year-old Derrick Mays Thomas of Mt. Sterling, allegedly came to the residence and got into a verbal altercation with 54-year-old James Neal of Owenton.  During the fight, Thomas allegedly shot Neal in the hand and the leg.  25-year-old Amber Neal of Owenton was also shot in the arm.

KSP said Thomas left the residence in a gray 2003 Mitsubishi Galant with Kentucky license plate number 124-VET.

The victims were taken to University of Kentucky Hospital and St. Elizabeth Owenton for non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers and local law enforcement are currently seeking Thomas as a suspect and consider him armed and dangerous at this time.  Thomas is described as a 23 year old white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with blue eyes.  He may be in the company of his girlfriend Elizabeth Neal and their two juvenile children ages 1 and 3.  Thomas may be in the Winchester or Mt. Sterling areas of Kentucky.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a deadly shooting Friday night.

The coroner confirmed that a 37-year-old man was shot and killed at a home on Pumphouse Road. They say that the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.

The man has been identified by the coroner as 37-year-old Josh Oakes. His body will be taken to Frankfort for an autopsy.

The Commonwealth Journal reports that 31-year-old  Erik Hardwick was taken into custody around 10:45 a.m.

Centerville Police are looking for an identity theft suspect.

Police say a man on January 10th used a cloned credit card number at the Walmart on York Commons Boulevard in Dayton.

The suspect bought prepaid gift cards with the credit card number.

Police say the suspect is a black man, with average height and build, wearing khaki pants a black jacket and a black winter hat.

There are no surveillance pictures of a vehicle in connection with the identity theft.

Police did provide a photo of the suspect from a surveillance camera near the entrance of the Walmart.

A Hamilton County Grand Jury has indicted a local man on charges of raping a child.

40 year old Robbie Jermaine Reed faces three rape charges involving a girl between three and 13 years of age.

Plus an aggravated sexual battery charge.

The indictment says the rape occurred in the summer of 2015.

Reed is already on the Sex Offender Registry on a sexual battery conviction.

In 2012, he was convicted of taking advantage of a woman who was passed out drunk in her apartment.

But a jury found him not guilty of rape in that case.

Sheriff’s officials say that a Harrison County High School student shot his girlfriend and then himself.

Sheriff’s officials originally told LEX 18 that the student, 18-year-old Emery Collins, was dead. His family has reached out to LEX 18 saying he is still alive.

Officials tell LEX 18 that the two left school and Collins was driving with his girlfriend to pick up supplies for a project. At some point, they say Collins shot her and then himself. Witnesses say his car went off the road, up a hill, passed by multiple trees and struck the corner of a home off Ruddles Mill Road.

The woman inside the house was not injured but had been in her yard just minutes before the crash occurred.

Both Collins and his girlfriend are students at Harrison County High School. The 17-year-old girlfriend has been rushed into surgery.

All five of the teens charged in connection with the robbery and shooting death of a Frankfort delivery driver appeared in court after their indictments in the case.

It was the first Jared Banta’s family saw all five suspects in court at the same time. Banta was found shot to death outside of a Frankfort apartment complex.

According to a recent indictment, Victorya Young, Brooke Kennedy and Cameron Montgomery are accused of setting up Banta the day he was killed. All three of the girls are charged with robbery and complicity to commit murder.

Prosecutors revealed Friday that the robbery and murder were recorded on a cell phone by one of the three girls accused of setting him up. Commonwealth Attorney Larry Cleveland said that text messages before and after the murder tell the story.

“There’s a text that says Victorya Paige is going to get in the car, then Kirshaun and Kiwee (a nickname of one of the suspects) are going to get in, then Paige runs out and that’s exactly what happened, and the icing on the cake, one of the girls videotaped this,” said Cleveland.

Cleveland wouldn’t say which girl recorded the crime.

The two men charged in connection to the crime, Kedrick Burton and Krishaun Mays also entered not guilty pleas. Burton is charged with complicity to murder and robbery. Mays is accused of being the actual triggerman and he is facing charges of murder and robbery.

Police in Madison County are investigating after they say a man was stabbed several times Thursday night.

Richmond Police say they received the call around 9 p.m. Thursday night after a victim showed up at Baptist Health with several stab wounds.

We are told the victim was stabbed four times; twice in the neck and twice in the chest. He was taken to UK Hospital where he was last listed in critical condition.

The victim told police that the stabbing happened at a home on Turpin Drive. Police do not believe this was the victim’s home.

Police do not have any persons of interest in the case and have not released any suspect descriptions.

Richmond Police have made an arrest in two robberies that happened in December of last year.

According to an arrest citation, Jesse Riddell robbed the same CVS store twice. The first robbery occurred on December 12 and the second on December 21.
