Private Detective, Lexington Police Looking for Krispy Kreme Robber

Lexington Police are asking for your help in finding a man they say held up a Krispy Kreme on July 6th. Just hours after the incident, a nearby hotel released surveillance video of the man police believe did it.

Unfortunately, he was masked, covered with a hoodie and the video did very little to help identify the man police want caught soon.

“If someone is willing to do that, walk through public carrying a rifle for a robbery on busy Richmond Road, what is this individual willing to do if they’re not caught? What’s the next step? Who’s gonna be robbed next?” says Detective Jason Rothermund

Police have been working each day since to try and get a better idea of who he is. They were able to retrieve the above photos from the Clean Sweep Car Wash and in these stills, the suspect is not yet covered and he is carrying the rifle he used to threaten the Krispy Kreme employees who were standing outside the business that night.

“It’s not everday you see someone use a rifle. It’s not easily concealed. It’s not something you can sneak up on people with. According to them, he walked up and showed them the rifle. Their immediate reaction was to throw their wallets on the ground,” says Det. Rothermund
