An Anderson County mother accused of tying up her daughter as punishment pleaded guilty in court Monday.
Investigators say Rebecca and Herbert Medley tied up Rebecca’s daughter to a bed for as long as 16-hours a day as a form of punishment.
Rebecca Medley entered a guilty plea to first degree criminal abuse and is scheduled for sentencing in October.

Herbert Medley is set to go to court on Sept.16.
The child’s grandmother, Carolyn Case, is also accused in the case. She was found guilty of complicity to criminal abuse second degree and sentenced to five years behind bars, the maximum sentence for the crime.
The 66-year-old pleaded guilty to criminal abuse on Jan. 7. She received credit for time served and the judge declined probation.
Case was also accused of perjuring. According to the Anderson County paper, Case was indicted for allegedly falsifying her financial status to obtain a taxpayer-provider attorney.
