Private Detective: Madison Co. Man Tried To Swallow Drugs Hidden In Prosthetic Leg

A Madison County man is in trouble after attempting to swallow drugs he had hidden in his prosthetic leg.

It happened Sunday evening. Richmond Police were dispatched to WalMart in reference to a subject who had received a trespass warning earlier in the day.

Voyd A. Turner, 40, had returned to Walmart after he had been warned to not return to the store. Turner was allegedly intoxicated and was arrested for public intoxication and criminal trespass.

During the booking process at the Madison County Detention Center, deputies wrestled with Turner while he was trying to swallow drugs he had hidden in his prosthetic leg. Suspected methamphetamine and suspected Suboxone were located during the booking search. After the scuffle, he was additionally charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, and promoting contraband.

Turner is being held in the Madison County Detention Center.
