Private Detective: Graffiti Threat in EKU Bathroom

Eastern Kentucky University officials have revealed the graffiti threat scrawled in a bathroom stall in the Combs Building last week.

Officials say the message read, “Bringing gun to here. 2-11-15. Dead students.”

Since a student found the message on Feb. 3, EKU campus police have teamed up with local, state and federal authorities in an attempt to find the person who wrote it.

Officials say they have no plans to close campus on the 11th.

“While the University continues to treat this threat very seriously, there are no plans to close the campus or cancel classes. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to respect the threat, be vigilant in ensuring the safety of themselves and their fellow Colonels, but remain engaged in the essential business of learning, living and working on our campus.”

Officials say students will noticed an increased police presence on campus Wednesday. Classes will not be cancelled but faculty and staff may be excused if they feel threatened.
