Willie’s Locally Known, located at Loudon Ave and Broadway in downtown Lexington was burglarized at 6:30 on Sunday morning. According to police, the suspect climbed the back fence and walked into the building, entering the backstage area where the liquor is stored and made away with multiple bottles of top shelf liquor. The suspect also stole wine. Surveillance video caught the suspect on camera.

Willie’s is a BBQ joint, neighborhood watering hole and local music hangout. Although the thieves did not get away with a lot money, the top shelf liquors are a large part of Willie’s income and mean quite a loss to the business.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
