Lexington Police are investigating after a motel was robbed Monday night.
Police tell LEX 18 that the Red Roof Inn on Wilhite Drive in Lexington was robbed around 10 p.m. The clerk told police that a man entered the lobby with something silver in his pants, which the clerk believed was a firearm.

The suspect made the clerk put cash in a grocery bag. He forced the clerk on the ground and exited the building with an unspecified amount of cash.
Investigators said the suspect is a 5-feet-9-inches black male who was last seen wearing a red hoodie.
