Two people are in the hospital after a domestic situation turns violent.
It happened just after 9 o’clock Sunday on Chelsea Woods Drive in Lexington. Investigators say a 16-year-old boy stabbed his mother multiple times in the neck. Her injuries are described as non-life threatening.

The 16-year-old also sustained minor injuries. Both of them were taken to the hospital.
An assault charge is pending against the son.
