Police are searching for a suspect who took off during a traffic stop in Lexington.
According to officials, an officer tried to pull over a man on a motorcycle for a traffic violation. The man jumped off the bike and fled from police, but not before running into a car at Sunset and Tates Creek.

Police have discovered a gun on the scene. An officer told LEX 18’s Leigh Searcy that as far as they know, the person on the bike did not have any active warrants.
Police are searching the area for the suspect, described as a black male in a white t-shirt and baggy red basketball shorts.
