Private Detective: Woman Claims Man in Clown Costume Threatened Her

A Frankfort woman said that while she was driving to work she had a close call with an armed creepy clown.

Charmaine Hensley told LEX 18 that she was in her truck driving along Devil’s Hallow Road Tuesday morning around 4:30 a.m. when a man jumped from the woods and threatened her life.

She said that he was wearing a white mask and a black and white clown costume. He was holding a rifle.

“He had a rifle, he pointed it at my truck, and the only thing I could think of was to get away,” Hensley told LEX 18.

With all the recent clown sightings, Hensley thought she would be prepared if she came across a clown.

“I had said that if a clown jumped out at me, I would run over them,” said Hensley. “That’s not what happened.”

What scares Hensley the most, is that the clown could be anyone or anywhere.

“The gun is stuck in my head. I can’t get the gun out of my head,” she said.

Hensley told LEX 18 that after this traumatic encounter, she will be avoiding Halloween altogether.

She told deputies the mask from this clown had no hair.

The Sheriff’s Department told LEX 18 that they have received multiple reports of clown sightings in the area.
