Private Detective: Drugs Likely The Cause of Three Deaths in Boyle Co.

Three people died in Boyle County Tuesday night and the coroner believes that drugs, specifically heroin, are to blame.

Chief Tony Gray with the Danville Police Department says that heroin is hitting Boyle County hard. The coroner has not released any names but claims that the three people, ages 33, 35, and 43, all died Tuesday night from the drug.

“People don’t know what they are getting. It could be a stronger batch, or it could be mixed with what they cut the drugs with,” said Gray.

Thursday afternoon, police say they had another overdose call from Junction City, but that person survived.

Police Chief Gray said that the county health department will open up a clinic for users this Monday.

“But there is not many in-patient facilities, a lot of times, that’s what’s needed for these people,” said Police Chief Gray.

Gray said that family and friends of those battling addiction should try and help the best they can.
