Missing Person Baby Missing After Mother’s Boyfriend Killed in San Antonio

San Antonio police are searching for an 11-month-old boy that they say is in grave or immediate danger after being abducted Monday.

An Amber Alert was initiated for Jonathan Jose Guillen Jr., who is 2-feet-6, 25 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes, according to the Texas Amber Alert Network. The child was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red-hooded sweatshirt.

Police are also looking for a suspect who they have identified as the child’s father, Jonathan Guillen Sr., 23. Guillen is suspected of fatally shooting his mother’s boyfriend, Ernest Garcia, 44, on Thursday at the couple’s home in the Oak Manor Apartments off Austin Highway.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Guillen reportedly was defending his mother, Lisa Martinez, after she and Garcia got into an argument over whether she was cheating that escalated with Garcia punching Martinez in the face. Guillen reportedly asked Garcia to leave the home but he refused and was shot. Guillen then left the home with his 11-month-old son. At the time, police said he might be armed.

Guillen has served prison time for first-degree felony possession of a controlled substance.

He is described as 5-feet-8 and 185 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He was wearing a white muscle shirt and dark shorts, possibly red or black, and was seen driving a black, 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer with Texas license plate number 7CZTJ.

Wrongful Death 4 Dead in Murder-Suicide in Longmont, CO

Four people were found dead Tuesday in Colorado in an apparent murder-suicide that began with a woman’s plea in a 911 call and then the sound of gunshots. A vehicle found outside the home was later tied to a man who hours earlier was released after being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

The four were found at a home in a subdivision just outside Longmont, Colo., NBC affiliate KUSA TV reported.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Before the bodies were found, police received a 911 call from a female at the address around 4 a.m. local time.

“Our dispatcher then heard the female party hollering, ‘No, no, no,’ followed by gunfire,” Weld County Sheriff”s Office spokesman Tim Schwartz told reporters.

“A male caller then got on the phone and said he’s going to kill himself,” Schwartz added. “At that time the dispatcher heard another gunshot.”

A handgun that had been fired numerous times was recovered, Schwarz said.

The dead are two males and two females, but police did not immediately release their names or ages.

A pickup truck was found idling outside the home and The Denver Post, citing a Longmont Police report, said it matched the description of one owned by Daniel Sanchez, 31, who was arrested Sunday for allegedly threatening his ex-girlfriend, Beatriz Cintora-Silva.

A woman who went to the scene of the shooting said her nieces were among the dead. Eddy Silva identified the dead women as Beatriz Cintora-Silva and Maria Cintora-Silva. She said Maria was married to Max Aguirre and both lived at the home.

A neighbor who did not know the victims said the shootings had nonetheless shaken her family.

“I got a phone call this morning from a relative saying, ‘I just needed to hear your voice’,” Leslie McGill told the Longmont Times-Call. “The big thing is I don’t know how I’m going to tell my son about this after the school shootings and now the shooting here.”

Longmont is about 35 miles north of Denver.

Missing Person $10k Reward for Info on DaShad Smith from Charlottesville

Charlottesville police are getting help in their investigation into the disappearance of DaShad Smith. Smith has been missing for a month now, but authorities have announced a reward they hope will lead them to more clues.

Charlottesville Area Crime Stoppers received an anonymous donation of $10,000 to assist in their investigation. Police spoke out at a news conference Tuesday about where the search is now and how they are moving forward with the investigation.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

At the news conference, police talked about the search at a landfill in Henrico County Monday. Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo says crews combed through trash and debris at the Old Dominion Landfill because that is the last spot trash from Charlottesville would have landed. They were looking for any information or evidence that will help give them some direction in this case.

Longo said, “In this juncture in the investigation, whatever records that might help us track his activity – whether that activity be financial transactions, telephone calls, text messaging, certainly those are logical avenues to pursue.”

Smith has been missing since November 20. Investigators say he had plans to meet with Erik McFadden near the Charlottesville Amtrak station. McFadden told them the meeting never happened and he left town shortly after.

“That’s a clue that’s going to cause us to continue to track his whereabouts to the extent that we can in an effort to gather information from him,” said Longo.

As police continue searching for answers, they say they are less hopeful as days pass without any leads. Longo said, “There’s a myriad of factors that don’t make me feel good about this case, but I can’t point to something specific and say, ‘This is why I know this isn’t going to have a happy ending.'”

But that doesn’t mean they are giving up on the search for Smith. Police emphasize they are working as hard as possible to reach a conclusion in this case. “That’s a tremendous number of resources that we’ve invested that may yield nothing, but may yield something that may be key to the next step of this investigation. And that’s the best thing we can hope for,” Longo said.

Police say they are limited in what they can reveal in this investigation. “One of the things that is most frustrating is the fact that we can’t be as transparent as folks may like us to be about what we’re doing,” Longo said. “And the reason for that is as much as we’re talking about it publicly, that same information is transmitted to a potential suspect or person of interest, who now knows how close we are to getting to the truth and I don’t want that to be the case.”

They are continuing to speak with Smith’s mother on a daily basis. “It’s important to make sure that we communicate and have communicated to Ms. Grooms, DaShad’s mother: ‘Here’s what we’re doing today, here’s what we’ve done yesterday, here’s what we’re going to do tomorrow,'” Longo said.

Anyone with information about Smith’s disappearance should call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.

Private Detective Police Find Man Who Shot Madison Co. Hunter in Foot

Kentucky state police say the have found the man who shot a hunter in Madison County. It happened this afternoon behind a home on Mallory Springs Road, east of Berea. The hunter was rushed to UK Hospital after getting shot in the foot.

Tommy Lemons was in fair condition as of Tuesday night.

Tuesday afternoon, he was checking deer traps with a friend when he was shot in the foot. Mike Gilbert, who lives at the bottom of the hill, heard the gunshot.

http://liarcatchers.com/index.php

“I started running up the mountain and I heard a four wheeler start up. They went down the other side of the mountain, and when they hit that field, they took off,” Gilbert says.

Police say Lemons and his friend didn’t see the shooter, but they thought he was on that ATV. By the time Gilbert got to his friend, he says Lemons was bleeding pretty bad:

“I took my belt off and wrapped it around his leg and tried to stop the blood flow.”

Gilbert says he carried Lemons down the mountain where an ambulance was waiting. Lemons’ wife, DeDe showed up minutes after paramedics left with her husband.

“My husband called me on the phone, hysterical, telling me he got shot. That’s how I found out,” she told LEX 18.

Police have since found the shooter, the man on the ATV, but he hasn’t been arrested because police say the shooting was an accident. That didn’t sit well with DeDe Lemons.

“if it was an accident, they would have common sense to come back and check, and they didn’t,” she says. “These people know that they shot a human being. And they left him there, to die, and that’s the way I look at it.”

Police tell LEX 18 charges could still be filed against the shooter, but it will be up to the commonwealth’s attorney the county attorney.

Private Detective More on Henry Clay High Rumor

A letter concerning rumors of violence at Henry Clay High School Monday that caused scores of parents to pull their children out of school was sent home to parents Tuesday morning.

A student was arrested after he allegedly phoned a threat to another student away from school grounds. As a result of rumors that spread around the school, 850 of the school’s almost 3,000 students either did not show up or were taken from school by their parents.

http://liarcatchers.com/index.php

Here is the text of the letter sent to parents:

Dear Henry Clay High School Families:

Yesterday morning the Lexington Division of Police began investigating rumors of possible violence involving students at Henry Clay High School. We were not aware of any specific threat, detailed information, or suggestion that our students or staff were in any danger. We took additional safety precautions in the meantime, and as information was verified, we communicated the facts we had with students, staff and families. Law enforcement officials assured us that our students were safe.

Police worked in conjunction with Fayette County Public Schools Law Enforcement officers throughout the day and traced the source of the rumor back to a single student. They took him into custody for questioning at 2:30 p.m. while the investigation continued. We were made aware late last night that he had been charged with terroristic threatening. According to police, the student made a statement that was threatening, but there was no imminent danger or specific threat. By the time we were able to clarify all the information we had, it was after midnight.

In addition to the potential consequences the student will face through the court system, he will also face serious and appropriate administrative consequences through the school district.

We want to be fully honest and transparent with our families, students, staff and school community, and we want you to know that you will receive important and factual information from us directly. Please know that our goal is to get you the most accurate verified information as quickly as we can, but sometimes rumors outpace the facts. We take any and all rumors seriously and we want to encourage students and families to let us know about any concerns they hear.

Your child’s safety is our top priority and we will always err on the side of caution. As we move forward from this incident, we will be working with Lexington Police officials to ensure that our families are made aware of safety issues in a timely manner. Thank you for the privilege of serving your family.
