Missing Person 17 Year Old Frankfort Teen

Frankfort Police are searching for a teen that has been missing since Monday.

17-year-old Zachary Thomas Watson went missing on Monday afternoon. He was last seen leaving his job.

Family members of Zachary told police that this disappearance is completely out of character and they do not believe he is a runaway.

Frankfort Police PIO Robert Warfel says they don’t have any information that is suspicious but they don’t are treating it seriously because they say Watson has never threatened to run away and by all accounts is a responsible child.

At the time he disappeared, Watson was last seen wearing a powder blue YMCA long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans. He is 5-feet-8-inches tall, weighs 130 pounds and has hazel eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Frankfort Police at 502-875-8582.

Wrongful Death One Dead After Richmond Triple Shooting

Richmond Police are investigating what led to three people being shot on Tuesday. The Madison County Coroner said 57-year old Steve Thomas Martin was killed in the shooting, and police are not looking for any suspects.

The triple shooting happened Tuesday afternoon, just before 1 p.m. on Jason Drive in Richmond.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

“It was blocked off with tape, police cars everywhere, the coroner van sitting there,” said Allison Thomas, who lives two doors down from the apartment where the shooting occurred.

Thomas described the troubling sight that greeted her, as she came home to find a bullet in her couch, and several inside her neighbor’s apartment.

“Had he been standing at his kitchen sink, he would have been shot,” said Thomas. “It is scary, very scary.”

So scary, the EKU student wanted to stay anonymous. He said he was napping when gunfire woke him, and bullets flew into his apartment.

“About six or seven gun shots. At first I didn’t know what it was. But, I could tell after I heard the last one, it actually broke my coffee maker,” said the young man.

The gunfire was happening inside the apartment next door, where the coroner said Steve Martin was killed, and police said another man was shot in the head.

“He was actually on the front porch, the police were giving him first aid. He was shot in the head, there was a lot of blood,” said the EKU student. “You could tell, he was alive, talking, responding to the officers.”

The man who was shot in the head was taken to UK Hospital, and on Tuesday night his condition was unknown. Police said they found a woman who had been shot in the foot, driving away in her car. Neighbors said she lives in this same unit.

“I am kind of in shock. I know a young couple moved in two months ago,” said Thomas.

Investigators said all three people are somehow connected, but won’t specify what their relationships are, or what this shooting was about. Richmond Police are continuing to investigate, but it’s not clear if anyone will face charges. Neighbors said they have their theories.

“The only thing I could think is domestic, because I don’t really think there was any drug activity going on,” said Thomas.

The Madison County Coroner said an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning.

Private Detective: FBI Joins Statewide Manhunt

Investigators say the career criminal who shot at law enforcement in Tennessee and Kentucky over the weekend is not alone.

It began Saturday in Tennessee when police tried pulling over Floyd Ray Cook.

Cook was wanted for violating the sex offender registry and trafficking drugs but it didn’t take long for the traffic stop to take a violent turn.

“Shots fired! Shots fired! Officer down! Officer down!” came through dispatch.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

The 62-year-old man now faces an attempted murder charge for shooting the officer, luckily it hit his bullet-proof vest.

“I have help coming,” the dispatcher said. “I need you to breathe. talk to me, brother. I know you’re hit. They’re coming.”

An hour later there were more shots, this time in Kentucky when a state trooper tried to pull Cook over.

The convicted rapist and robber wrecked his truck and took off into the woods after a shootout with the trooper in Cumberland County.

Officials expanded the search statewide and the FBI joined in.

Tuesday morning new leads took investigators to Lebanon.

“Police officers were peaking through our front window yelling ‘Police, open up!” said a neighbor who did not want to be identified. “We opened the door to the cops with guns out and hot.”

Officers found no sign of Cook there, but Tuesday morning they revealed he may have help.

They say Cook may be 50 year-old Troy E. Wayne and troopers warn that Cook is as dangerous as they come.

Cumberland county schools have been closed for the past couple of days as they search for the men.

They’ll decide whether to resume Wednesday morning.

Private Detective: Former Office Manager of KY Law Firm Guilty of Embezzling

The former office manager of a Henderson, Kentucky law firm pleaded guilty to wire fraud in U.S. District Court yesterday before Chief Judge Joseph H. McKinley, Jr. for embezzling $264,867.84 during a 30-month period, announced U.S. Attorney John E. Kuhn, Jr.

According to the plea agreement, Krista Kaye Graupner, age 45, of Evansville, Indiana, committed wire fraud while employed at the law firm of King, Deep & Branaman (KDB) between June of 2012 and December of 2014.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

As office manager, Graupner had access to KDB’s bank accounts and was authorized to write checks and initiate ACH payments out of these accounts. During her guilty plea, Graupner admitted to paying her own personal bills using KDB’s funds.

In October of 2014, Graupner also began wiring money from Henderson to various individuals in South Africa who were part of the scheme. Graupner admitted that she would write checks, either for cash or to herself, drawn upon KDB accounts and then use the cash from the KDB checks to wire the money via Western Union to individuals in South Africa. In perpetuating this crime, Graupner made approximately 200 wire transfers from October 2014 through December 2014.

Graupner is scheduled to be sentenced by Chief Judge McKinley in Owensboro on January 13, 2016 and could receive a combined maximum term of 60 years in prison, a maximum fine of $750,000, and a three-year period of supervised release.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Nute A. Bonner and is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Henderson Police Department.
